Dear friends,

We just received notice from the U.S 2009 Tour Team today that Thay is ill.  Due to this unexpected news, we are very sorry to announce that Thay will not be able to attend the retreat at Magnolia Village.  However, the retreat will still go on as schedule along with 24 Monk and Nuns.

We wish all of you to have steady practice to breathe, smile, and happiness in order to deal with fortunate and unfortunate events that will occur in our daily lives.

Please let us know if you are still able to attend the retreat so we can make prior arrangements. Thank you for your understanding of the circumstance.  We hope to see you at the retreat.

Sincerely,

Magnolia Village Sangha,
Ben Ho

DHARMA DOGS and other sentient beings...

Belledog

A sweet, gentle spirit who embodied many of the principles of lovingkindness that some of us try so hard to obtain.

Anabel

Sweet, and unassuming with a reverence for quiet time and meditation spaces and practices. She loves everyone without judging.

Sasser

Loving and gentle Sasser, referred to as the original Dharma dog is a resident at Dragon seat meditation center. Jackie is contemplating writing a book all about this most interesting loveable sentient one.
NOTE:
Sad news, Sasser Dog has left the palace of form. Last evening (Friday 2/17/06) she died quickly and with little pain in my arms. At 14.5 years she had a long and busy life. She is now resting at the Stupa on her bed with all her toys around her. Khenpo Gawang was with us and gave her special Tibetan medicine to bless her passing. We did prayers last night and are continuing to today and the next 46 days. Within the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism the time of the bardo between births is 48 days. .... CANDIA
